Guests at our holiday rentals, Maremar, Marona and Marblava, in Sant Feliu de Guixols are generally foodies – these pages are for you!
You have so much choice in Sant Feliu de Guixols, and the broader Costa Brava, that it will take you years to sample every scrummy thing it has to offer! But in this section we introduce you to a few of the places and things that we love.
We must start with the fabulous Sant Feliu de Guixols daily morning market with its fresh fruit and vegetables and then the indoor part with the freshest fish, meat and other goodies. On Sundays the market is even bigger, with all sorts of artisan products plus non-food items too.
Play the video below for a look at what’s on offer…
Next a note about organic food – you can find some in the larger supermarkets but there seems to be more and more organic food when you shop locally. There is usually an organic market in Sant Feliu in the first week of each month. Hort d’en Climent is well worth a recommendation. It’s round the corner from Can Prat. Their produce doesn’t always look super nice, but it’s fresh and they claim most of it is local. Finally, there is a really nice stall in the market (possibly run by the same people!) – they display their “biologic” credentials so you shouldn’t be able to miss them.
