Sant Feliu de Guixols’ second beach…
If you carry on up the coast road out of Sant Feliu de Guixols and up the hill, you will come to Sant Feliu’s other sandy beach, Platja Sant Pol. This is a very trendy place, graced by the Beautiful French who would otherwise be on the Cote d’Azur. It is long and gracefully curved, although in our experience, quite busy.
The beach is beautiful and so are the views. In the summer and at weekends, wealthy boat owners moor just off the bay, get their smaller boats out of the hold or wherever and putt putt over to have lunch in one of the fine seafood restaurants along the beach front.
Our favourite is Maria Rosa, which you can see on our finer dining page.
All around Sant Feliu’s coastline there are fabulous walks. There are coastal walks here going both ways, back towards Sant Feliu and on past S’Agaró. One is along a special path skirting the sea (starting just beyond the southern end of the beach). The second is a really fascinating, similar, pathway from the north end of the beach around the headland where you can see right up the coast.
The walk past S’Agaro and the Dunes of Sant Pol…
Just like central Sant Feliu, it is great for snorkeling and also there are water sports available at the north end of the beach.
