Sant Feliu de Guixols has a thriving vegetable market, plus organic stalls and shops – great for people who love their veggies!
First a small warning – “Catalan salad” comes with a large quantity of cold cuts!!
Escalivada – absolutely delicious barbequed peppers, aubergine and (sometimes) onion.
This is a great starter. It sometimes comes on toast (pa torrada or pan tostado) and maybe with a couple of those yummy, not too salty, not bony, anchovies.
Espinacs a la Catalana – Spinach braised in a little white wine with raisins or sultanas and pine nuts. A classic Catalan dish.
