There is so very much to experience on the Costa Brava and in Catalunya
On these pages we go a little further afield, out of Sant Feliu and into surrounding areas of the Costa Brava and wider Catalunya.
Water parks – for fun in summer!
Not really that much further afield is the major water park in Platja d’Aro. Platja d’Aro is also a great place for those of you who like a noisier, busier lifestyle with many bars and clubs and all sorts of eateries which are not typically Catalan. Whilst we like having it there, we are glad it’s a few kilometers away so that drunken revellers can have their fun without disturbing us!
Girona – historic walled city and much more
Just 30 minutes away by car or bus – Girona is a must. It is a Cathedral City, the centre of the region. Boasting both a really atmospheric Old Town, a really trendy New Town and its own city walls to walk around, what more could you ask for!

Dali land – three major sites, and all within a short trip from Sant Feliu de Guixols
Salvador Dali is a truly remarkable artist, albeit a somewhat controversial one…
We now have a whole page dedicated to this chap and the three marvelous locations associated with him and Gala, his wife.

La Bisbal and its environs – top class ceramics to suit all tastes and needs
La Bisbal is “Ceramic City”! It has a long, straight main street, flanked with every kind of ceramic shop you could dream of. Fab for little souvenirs or bigger items… It is about 30 minutes’ drive from Sant Feliu. Remember that lots of shops tend to shut at 13.00 and don’t open again until 16.00.

Peratallada – Medieval majesty near Sant Feliu de Guixols
Peratallada, about 5km from La Bisbal is a Medieval village with really beautiful winding streets, porticos and some interesting shops, bars and restaurants. Go to our what’s on in October page to find out about the Peratallada Medieval market which runs in early October… And here for directions from Sant Feliu de Guixols to Peratallada.
From our holiday rentals in Sant Feliu de Guixols you can also take some fabulous day trips by car…
