Sant Feliu de Guixols is not just a Summer holiday destination…
In these pages we give you a flavour of what you can do in and around Sant Feliu de Guixols all year round. In addition to this there are so many things to see, do, experience, taste (we could go on!), in the wider Costa Brava and indeed in the rest of Catalunya, and Sant Feliu de Guixols is a fantastic base from which to explore. Let’s start here with Sant Feliu and its immediate surroundings…
Please note that we are only as good as the information given to us. If a link stops working, please do tell us and we will investigate. And if you are interested in anything specific, please do check that they do still operate at the time of year you are coming to Sant Feliu. We will be happy to check this for you.
The highest season is definitely July and August when there is something on every single minute of every day. Some things are seasonal, as you would expect, so please don’t expect water slides/glass bottomed boats/tourist trains outside of the Summer season! But there is always lots to do, see and experience.

Finding out about what’s on in Sant Feliu de Guixols…
Don’t forget that there is a really good tourist information office at the Monastery in Sant Feliu de Guixols…
Electronic display boards (Summer and festivals)
When you are in Sant Feliu, go to the seaside end of the Rambla and stand with your back to it (facing the sea) You will see an electronic display board which will tell you (in Catalan!) what’s on in Sant Feliu de Guixols over the next few weeks. If you need help translating something that looks really good, put the gist of it in an email and we will translate! Or, if you are Web enabled (!!), go to the babylon translation website on the web…
This picture shows another way of finding out what’s on in Sant Feliu de Guixols – keep your eyes peeled in shop windows , walls outside the markets etc.
This flier is for a “tapas crawl” on 13 July. You can buy a ticket for €9 and get six tapas at various locations shown on the map! Or, one tapa and a beer for €1.50.You buy tickets at the “Cantonada del Passeig del Mar amb Rambla Vidal”, or the junction of the Passeig del Mar and the Ramble, on the same day between 10.00 and 14.00.
Explore the front…
And of course, go for a walk along the beach and around the Marina and Port!
There you can find boat hire, excursions, kayaking, pedalos, diving courses, sailing courses, you name it!
Set out at about 08.30 if you can face it as that is when a lot of these activities start.
Just walk around
And finally, just walk around and you will see interesting things happening which you can join in with!
For example, we came across this street concert at the top of the Rambla one evening in early July. Fabulous! It was sponsored by a restaurant but you didn’t have to eat there to enjoy the fun.
